What is Reiki?
Reiki is often described as a Japanese method of relaxation, that also promotes healing and leaves the receiver with a heightened feeling of well being. It is provided by a practitioner through a gentle hands on healing technique and can be used to resolve physical, emotional and spiritual issues. As we break the word down, we have "Rei" the universal energy and "ki" the life force moving through each of us and within all living things. Many people report wonderful healing expeiences with Reiki.
How do I learn more or experience a session?
For those interested in experiencing this loving method of relaxation, I offer individual Reiki Sessions as well as a number of opportunities each month in the Annapolis/Severna Park vicinity. Events include Reiki Shares, and a complementary Reiki Basics Class, during which, I explain what Reiki is and demonstrate how it works. Class and event dates are listed in my bi-monthly newsletter. One of the goals I've had is to bring Reiki Practitioners together so we may share information, discuss issues related to our use of Reiki and learn together. Annapolis Reiki hosts these gatherings periodically, and we cover a wide range of topics including aromatherapy, the energetics of food, astology, and metaphysics to name a few. Further information and specific program topics are provided in my newsletter.
